Legislative Committee - Steve Lyons

·        Lyons and Elkin attended several fund raisers for both Democrats and Republicans.  We cover both sides of the aisle and stick to issues that concern the welfare of retired officers.

·        PAC contributions to candidates do not equate an endorsement.

·        HPD asked Lyons to represent the City of Houston in Austin.  He will also represent the HPROA and support this organization if a conflict should occur.  The City will pay Lyons expenses and provide an office which will save the HPROA quite a bit of money.

·        Contact Lyons or Elkin with any question or concerns regarding the legislative session.

Entertainment Committee - D.A. Miller

·        The Crockett Reunion was very successful thanks to Steve and Vikki Rayne.  The Silent Auction was also successful thanks to all those who contributed and those who bid on the items.
