“Texas Right to Carry”
UPDATE
A number of retired officers have requested additional information regarding the Texas Right to Carry, and the new Federal Law allowing retired officers to carry their firearms. Some additional information may be obtained by clicking on the link provided below. It should be noted the federal law signed by President George W. Bush, does not replace or supersede the firearm laws that have been enacted by the individual states.
The Governor of Texas recently signed a firearms reciprocity agreement with two additional states, Georgia and Montana, allowing retired officers the right to carry in those states. This brings to 14 the number of states with which the State of Texas has an agreement. To find restrictions on the particular state you wish to visit click on the link to the right of the state name.
