Well, Hello There Everyone!!!!
I think we
have recuperated from Saturday.
Thank You!
Thank You! Thank You! To all that came out to The Houston Reunion on Saturday
February 25, 2017. We had a total of 202 attendees. My goal was to surpass
last years total of 170. WE DID IT!!!! I truly believe everyone that came out
had a great time, or that's what several members, came up to us and told us.
I am sorry though, about the temperature at
the Academy Gym. Unfortunately, we had no control over it, it was under lock,
and some members said they were cold. Also our apology to those that waited a
little longer in line to get their food, but hopefully you made the most of it
by visiting while in line. There was plenty of food, we did not run out, and it
was good.
We had many generous members that
donated items to the Silent Auction as well as some members contributing
monetary donations. The Silent Auction made a total of $2603.00. Thank you all
for your generous contributions, and of course to all members that did some
buying.
Of course it would not have been
possible without the help of all the volunteers that came out on Friday
afternoon to help set up and decorate. So a Big Thanks goes out to them, and
thanks to them a second time for Saturdays help. They along with many members
after the luncheon, stayed and helped with the clean up process. As the saying
goes "Ask and you shall receive". Well, we asked for help and many members
stepped up. So a big hand goes out to all of
you!!!!
I truly hope everyone enjoyed
themselves, for Matt and I enjoyed hosting it. Please, if you have any
comments, please post them on our HPROA website. I encourage
it.
Please mark your calendars for the
