JAMES H. "JIMMY" JONES born in Kerns, TX, passed away on Dec. 12. He was 76. Jones served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He served the Houston Police Department for 25 years, Hedwig Village Police Department for 6 years and Constable of Bastrop County for 10 years. Brother Jones was a Mason for more than 50 years and Past Master of Mina Lodge #1456 in Bastrop, Texas. Jones is survived by his wife Rosemary Jones, daughters Marianne Jones, Polly Buenger, Susan Lewis and husband Jackie, and granddaughter, Tina Walker. Surviving sisters include Mary Thorp, Francis West, and Ann Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Herman Jones and Letha Stevens Jones, two brothers, Kenneth W. Jones and Harry L. Jones, and a sister, Loraine Harris. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mina Lodge #1456, Bastrop, TX. Two Memorials will be held: First - Dec. 29th at 1 p.m.Cedar Valley Baptist Church, 1905 F. M. 969, Elgin, TX 78621 Second - Dec. 30th at 1:00 Knights of Columbus Hall, 607 E.
