AUGUST MICHAEL LUCHAK, (Gus), born April 19, 1932 in Wharton, Tx. has gone before us on February 13, 2002. Still loving him is hi wife, Verna who shared 48 plus years together. His children are Sandra Stegent and husband Raymond, Sharon Cruseturner, Diane Tallent and husband Ronny, George Luchak and wife Judy. He has ten grandchildren and one great grandchild that love and will miss him very much. He is also survived by five brothers and two sisters who were also a close family. He servied 25 years with the Houston Police Department and 20 years with the National Guard. Gus loved fishing and talking about the big ones. A vigil service will be held at 8:00pm, Friday, February 15, 2002 at Pat H. Foley. The Knights of Columbus will also have a service. The funeral mass will be at 12:00pm, Saturday, February 16, 2002 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic, 3600 Brinkman. Reverend Msgr. James B. Anderson as celebrant. The rite of Christian Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetary.
