Funeral services for Tommy "Topcat" Charles Adams, 61 of Paige were held Sunday, Oct 24, 1999, at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in McDade. Rev. Alvin Epperson officiated, with burial in the Adams Family Cemetery in Paige.
Mr. Adams died Thursday, Oct 21, 1999, at Seton Medical Center in Austin.
Tommy was born Jan. 16, 1938, in rosanky, the son of Dora "Sissy" (Ringer) Adams. He married Leslie Sharon Windham on May 28, 1966, in Houston. He was a 1959 graduate of Houston Police Academy, served from 1959 to 1985, retired as lieutenant of detectives and took the job of chief deputy for the Bastrop County Sheriff's Department.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Adams of Paige; daughter, Pamela Jean and Ronald Evans of Houston; sons, Wesley Charles and Robin Adams of Kingsland, Michael Charles and Amy Adams of Houston, Tommy Charles Adams Jr. and Jack Clifton O. Adams, both of Paige; brother, Roy Richard Adams of Smithville, grandchildren, Jeremy Adams, Brian Adams, Joey Kristynik, Nikki Kristynik, Brittany Kristynik, Mike Adams Jr, Clifton Adams, and Jack Adams Jr; great grandson, Matthew Kristynik.
