Linwood Fowler, Jr. of Houston, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2002 at the age of 76.
He was a graduate of Police Academy Class 22 and retired from the Houston Police Department following 23 years of service.
Lin was also a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6010.
Linwood was preceded in death by his parents, Linwood Fowler, Sr. and Pauline Baker, and by his daughter Jane Ellen Fowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Jane, his sons; Houston Police Sergeant Steven L. Fowler and wife Sheila; Eric P. Fowler and wife Catherine of Los Angeles, California and Marc J. Fowler of Tomball.
Survivors also include his grandchildren Janine, Steven-Christopher, John, Ashley and his great grandchild McKenzie.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Thursday at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, with a Vigil service beginning at 7pm.
The funeral mass will be at 11:00 am Friday at Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Father John Upton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church or to a charity of your choice.
