  Hill Country Reunion
Recap & Image Gallery
The Reunion this year was the largest one to date, with 159 smiling faces attending, Only 56 of them were “Campers”, the rest staying in local hotels or driving in for the day. It seems like everyone enjoys going to the Hill Country and seeing old friends, shopping, or just sitting around telling tales. For those who came early, or stayed late there was lots of stuff to do. Of course “Octoberfest” started at 6pm Saturday night the food and drinks were great and not at all crowded. If hot sausage and ohm-papa music wasn’t your thing then Fredericksburg also has an outstanding Pacific War Museum, and the famous cave where millions of bats come out at dusk.

Lamar and Dee Kimble, as usual, did a super job on decorating the Pioneer Pavilion at Lady Bird Park, well at least Dee and some of her talented helpers did the decorating while Lamar was telling old "war stories" from a long, long time ago.

The food was served up hot and there was plenty to eat. If anyone went away hungry, it was their own fault.

Vernetta and Orville Walker were in charge of the silent auction and took in $535 for the Family Assistance Committee.

We have reserved the Pavilion again for next year and made arrangements for Motel and R.V. spaces. The 2005 Hill Country Reunion will be held Oct. 8th, 2005, so make plans now to attend.
